Mr. Joel O. Nyamweya is a PHD Student in Land Resource Management- Atlantic International University (Ongoing-since August 2019). He holds a Master of Arts in Valuation and Property Management, University of Nairobi, 2012, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Land Economics from the University of Nairobi (2001), ISK Diploma in Valuation and Estate Management and is a Full Member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya.& He is a Registered Valuer by the Valuers Registration Board under Cap 532
He has over twenty (20) years’ experience in valuation, property management, Resettlement and site acquisition having worked with Kisii County Government, Kenya Human Rights Commission, Tullow Oil (k) Joint Venture, World Bank-Tanzania, , Kenya Electricity Transmission Limited, Kenya Power, Ministry of Lands, CB Richard Ellis, Regent Valuers Limited in various departments dealing with land and property. Mr. Ombati has established himself as a prominent professional in both public and private organizations in the practice of land having been in charge of the respective land sections. He is is also a part time lecturer of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Teaching both Property management, Facilities Management, Land and Housing Policy Studies.
Mr. Ombati is also a certified a mediator (Mediation Course (CIARB-London)-2014 and arbitrator (Arbitration Course Strathmore University-2012). He serves as a Director Ruai Hillsview School -2015-todate (Nairobi county), Member of Board of Management of Bogeche Secondary School 2012-todate (Kisii County), Chairman of Task Force Reviewing Operations of Hillview Adventist Preparatory 2017 (Nairobi County), Examiner for the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya 2014 todate, Chairman Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (Coast Branch) 2012-2013, Hon. Secretary Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (Coast Branch) 2009-2011and a Church elder- Seventh Day Adventist church -2015 todate
